I was asked a big question last week about my business that really had me reflecting.

It was a simple question but it was the reminder that I needed.

Why did you start your business and what keeps you going?

Here it goes.

A business isn't a business unless it’s heart led or soul led. People can tell you that it’s just business and to take your emotions out of it but I believe a business is an extension of who you are and what your values are.

When you have a passion and purpose about what your business is bringing into the world it will show you that even in the darkest times you were willing to go through whatever it takes to keep the purpose alive

With this passion we have managed to hire 17 staff , see one of our staff members start her own business, Hire and  promote a leadership team, open our business with 150 members and scale our business over 300% in 12 months.

This all comes from heart ,soul , determination and push .

I also believe that we are nothing without our team.

Hiring the team that has the same determination and purpose to make the community better is what is going to set you apart from all your competing competitors.

So when someone asked me why ? Why a Gym ?

I knew we were missing something in the Wollondilly. A lot of people open because they think it’s a cash cow and easy money, because Training at the gym is all the hype atm ... My why was different.

The Wollondilly is a family community . They want to be seen ,heard ,valued and family orientated. They wanted somewhere where they can go to be able to feel like they matter as well as push through boundaries that they never thought they could. The mental health within the community from our research and one on one sit down with each member it’s probably at its darkest point. They want to be surrounded by like minded people that want to grow and be pushed. The human brain is designed for belonging and to be apart of a community that will be accepting for who that person may be by any circumstance.

This is my WHY

This is the forefront of my WHY this is why we will always keep pushing to be the best service.

I have always been heavily involved in the heath and fitness lifestyle and attended local gyms that only gave it their all for the first 12 months... Then the hard work takes over and we were left behind.... The community was lost..

I also wanted to be able to do all the styles of training under one roof and one membership.

I was paying up to $200 a week with a gym, pilates and sauna membership.

As you can see i have found a solution to the problem that aligned with my WHY and my values.

When your passion and soul link to your purpose no matter how hard those days get it keeps you fighting for another day.

You ask me how we grew, how we became so big.. It’s because the “Why” is bigger then surface level reason you open. When your Why is bigger you can push through the challenges and curve balls that business throws

So

If you’re wanting to start..

1️⃣ Make sure your reason is heart and soul led.

2️⃣Make sure your purpose is stronger then your why.

3️⃣ No matter what dark moments biz life throws at you, You find a solution not an excuse.

4️⃣ Discover what problem your Biz is going to solve

5️⃣ ALWAYS Integrity, Loyality, Team, Community at the forefront.

Transformative biz coaching coming soon.
